Product Description

Low profile billet aluminum anodized tripod or flat surface mount for the Contour Camcorder. Includes a straight bar that mates into the Contour Trail system and fastens to a standard 1/4x20 bolt. Two holes on the bar exist for a bungee strap if your application requires. Additional 10-32 mounting holes exist for other mounting applications. Works with the ContourHD, Contour+, Contour Roam, ContourGPS and Contour 1080p cameras.

Hypoxic makes this system predominantly for folks who want to mount their Contour cameras on a helmet but want a more secure mounting than the Contour factory mount.

The addition of the 1/4 x 10 hole makes this a very handy gadget. The 1/4 x 10 hole is the exact same size as is used by camera tripods, so this makes for a simple tripod mount for your Contour or allows you to connect it to any tripod head.

I purchased a small tripod ball-head from Amazon (Giottos MH1304-110C) and attached it to a GPS mount on my dash. The rail then allows me to attach the camera to the tripod head with a very small, stable connection.
